Big congratulations go to our partner 100%Open and client, Oxfam, for their joint success in the ‘Best Internal Communications’ category at the Corporate Engagement Awards 2014.
The open innovation agency received recognition for its ground-breaking ‘Future Shapers’ initiative, powered by Crowdicity’s idea management platform. The initiative was designed to engage Oxfam’s entire global organisation in a collaborative conversation about organisational change and increased efficiency.
Open for six weeks, the ‘Future Shapers’ community captured the ideas and insights of Oxfam staff from around the world – including the UK, the Philippines, Vietnam, Nepal, Bangladesh, Chad, Ethiopia and more, with the ideas ranging from quick wins to radical suggestions.
As Saskia Jones, Head of Internal Communications Oxfam GB describes: “An idea would originate in the Philippines, be built on by a team in Uganda, and then reinforced or voted on by people in the UK.”
The results, facilitated by 100%Open, saw five of the most pioneering, practical and productive ideas presented to the Central Management Team to be taken forward by Oxfam’s respective divisions.
Now in their fourth year, the CEAs celebrate the best in partnerships, sponsorships and corporate social responsibility programmes and are seen as a real benchmark within the industry.
A big well done to the teams at 100%Open and Oxfam. Yet another great example of how crowdsourcing is proving a vital tool for organisations around the globe.
