Frontend Developer (HTML5/CSS3, JS)

We’re looking for a mid-level (or experienced junior) Front End Developer to join our growing development team in Nottingham. Help design, develop and maintain our innovation management platform, improving the experience for hundreds of thousands of users, and adding transformational new features.


Nottingham, UK office.


Design, implement and maintain UI components with JS (ES6) and HTML5/CSS3, following industry best practices and principles and ensuring a cohesive user experience across multiple devices and different browsers.

Necessary Skills

  • Strong HTML5/CSS3: selectors, pseudo elements, rem/px/%/…, float and overflow, vendor prefixes, media queries? You have them for breakfast.
  • You can deal with multi-device (mobile first, of course!) and cross-browser compatibility, keeping the code well organised and easy to update/maintain in the long run.
  • You know your fair share of vanilla Javascript (ES6): you can manipulate the DOM, validate inputs, change/animate CSS properties… all of this while keeping your code clean, clear and modular.
  • You’ve had exposure to React (or another js component based library, like Angular 2 or Vue.js).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Would be great but not essential

  • An understanding of Redux.
  • You’re (really!) interested in UX: you are all for usability, accessibility, consistency, prototyping… You make your life harder to make users’ life easier.

Salary & Benefits

  • Depending on experiences, up to £25,000.
