- Q1. Can Crowdicity communities be private?

Yes, they can. You choose whether your Crowdicity community is ‘public access’ i.e. open to all your customers or ‘private access’, password restricted i.e. invite only for internal innovation. Crowdicity uses secure SSL encryption to protect your data so when we say private we really mean ‘private’.

10 – 100 – 10,000 -100,000? We place no minimum or maximum limits on the number of users you have in your Crowdicity community. So, whether you are engaging your entire customer base, the whole company, a department or division or collaborating across a single team, Crowdicity will invisibly scale to meet your needs.

- Q4. Can I customise Crowdicity to look like our brand or site?

Yes you can. Your Crowdicity community is yours which means that it needs to look like it belongs to you. Crowdicity is fully customisable; logos, colourways, mastheads, backgrounds and navigation can all be easily designed and changed to reflect your own brand exactly. We even offer a full design service which can take care of all that for you if you wish.

- Q5. I want to run more than one Crowdicity community do my users/administrators need multiple logins?

No they don’t, Crowdicity user accounts are completely ‘portable’ which means that users and admins can effortlessly move between your Crowdicity communities without the need for multiple profiles or endless signing in and out. Crowdicity also helpfully aggregates all of a user’s activity from across all their Crowdicity communities into a single view to provide an at a glance snapshot of their entire Crowdicity world from any community that they happen to be logged into.

You will need to decide who within your organisation is going to ‘manage’ the Ideas Topics? We refer to this role as the ‘Community Manager’. This could be one or more people. Organisations typical set aside between 2-4 hours per week for this role. However, during the initial period you may want to devote more time to ensure optimisation of the time available. You also need to consider if you want one community manager overseeing the community. Or appoint community managers according to a how the Topics are aligned within the business?

No, you don’t. Crowdicity is web-based software (commonly referred to as Software-as-a-Service or SAAS) so the good news is that we take care of the technical stuff like, hosting, set-up, updates for you, leaving you free to concentrate on the important business of generating great ideas. Crowdicity is hosted in the Cloud at our secure, resilient data centre in the London Docklands and our tech team is always happy to talk to your IT team – techy to techy- if you need peace of mind. It’s entirely up to you, the beauty of Crowdicity is that it works to your time-frame. Whether you just want to use Crowdicity for a specific project lasting a couple of months or want Crowdicity permanently power your internal Innovation strategy we have packages and plans to suit.

- Q9. How much does Crowdicity cost?

Crowdicity packages are based on the functionality required, community size, usage volumes and level of support required. We have made our pricing plans as flexible as possible so that you only pay for what you need. Crowdicity is available on a monthly ‘pay-as-you’ / cancel at any time basis. We also offer significant savings on 6 month / 12 month and 18months licences for longer projects.

- Q10. What support do you provide?

We offer support for Crowdicity in various ways.
For all our Community owners we offer email and online support. For top tier licence plan owners we provide named Account Manager telephone support. Under our SLA our support team will get back to you within a few hours during normal business hours (Mon-Fri 8.30am – 5pm GMT, 3am – 12midday CST). Emails received after hours will be responded to the next business day. We are happy to negotiate increased support levels if required.
For ‘end users’ we offer exclusive online support. This includes help guides, faq’s and self supporting user forums. We don’t offer direct email or telephone support for end users. This is with the exception of technical issue where technical email tickets which can be raised by all users.
The primary point of contact (via email or telephone) for end users of a Crowdicity group is the Community Manager(s) within the client organisation who manage the day to day running of their Crowdicity community.

- Q11. Do you offer training and consultancy?

We can support the launch of your Crowdicity community with a series of workshops and consultancy services, so that you can maximise your investment in the future benefits of working collaboratively.
We offer consultancy to train community managers within an organisation on practical aspects of the system as well as the more strategy principles of running a open innovation community.

- Q12. Do you offer an open API for Crowdicity?

Yes we do. We will be releasing our open API and developer Sandbox shortly. The Crowdicity API will provide unparallelled flexibility allowing your development team to build bespoke extensions to your Crowdicity community, integrate into your existing systems or even complete re-skin your Crowdicity community.
