As well as being a key sponsor, alongside BP, Weir Group, Glencore, Anglo American, PwC and Powercorp, the Crowdicity platform will be used to capture the ideas of senior leaders from around the commonwealth, as they explore social benefits of technological innovation in the 2014 global challenge

Crowdicity is sponsoring and delivering an online crowdsourcing platform to connect the feedback and capture ideas from Commonwealth leaders taking part in the 2014 CSCleaders Programme - launched this week by leadership development experts Common Purpose in partnership with HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences.

CSCLeaders is a leadership programme, a reinvention of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences, delivered by the global leadership organisation, Common Purpose. It assembles exceptional senior leaders from across the Commonwealth to tackle challenges that businesses, governments and society face today.

Crowdicity and Common Purpose agreed a sponsorship deal to utilise Crowdicity’s innovative Idea Management platform across the CSCLeaders offering, as it aligned with the key strategic aims for the ambitious leadership project. This not only sees Crowdicity become a key sponsor of the scheme alongside BP, Weir Group, Glencore, Anglo American, PwC and Powercorp, but also puts them at the forefront of the minds of some of the world’s most influential leaders.

“The 100 leaders represent an incredible diversity of countries, cities, faiths, beliefs, sectors, generations and experience. Bringing them together builds the Cultural Intelligence – the ability to cross divides and thrive in multiple cultures – and global relationships they will need not only to find innovative and practical solutions to the challenge but as leaders of the Commonwealth” says Julia Middleton, CEO, Common Purpose Charitable Trust.

Adirupa Sengupta, CEO, Common Purpose Asia-Pacific and Lead on CSCLeaders, said: “With such a diverse group of participants from across the Commonwealth, keeping the momentum going after CSCLeaders Part One - both of the global network they build and the innovative solutions to the Challenge they find - is crucial. Crowdicity’s unique platform for idea management is the perfect tool for keeping the group connected and helping them to further develop their Challenge ideas as we head into Part Two and beyond. Bringing in other CSCLeaders alumni online through Crowdicity will add even more insights and solutions to the Challenge.”

Nick Wright, co-founder of Crowdicity said: “Crowdicity is immensely proud to be sponsoring the CSC Leaders programme this year. The mission and objectives of CSCLeaders are completely aligned to the values and principles of Crowdicity.

“It is wonderful to see the Crowdicity platform being used to power a collaboration on this scale, to solve real world challenges and being used to turn ideas and insights into solutions that have genuine positive impact on society. It is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with an exciting project which will capture true, real world feedback from global leaders – helping to turn these ideas and information into a solution for the 2014 Challenge, exploring the social benefits of technological innovation. Using Crowdicity’s simple-to-administer online platform, Common Purpose and CSCLeaders are able to open up the Challenge to leaders beyond just the 100 participants from Part One and crowdsource input from all corners of the globe.”

The group was presented to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Princess Royal (President of The Duke Of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences) at a reception for CSCLeaders at Buckingham Palace on Monday, March 24th, where Crowdicity co-founders Nick Wright and Rob Wilmot attended with fellow sponsors and Commonwealth leaders.
