Fresh from a win at the Eurocloud UK Awards, Crowdicity has been shortlisted in the Digital Entrepreneur Awards (DEAs) for Software Innovation of the Year 2014
The DEAs are the UK’s only national awards dedicated to internet entrepreneurship. The Software Innovation of the Yearcategory recognises the companies and technologies that are, in the words of the DEA; ‘driving forward the frontiers of business on the internet’.
The announcement comes just days after Crowdicity was announced as a winner at the EuroCloud UK Awards for Best Public Sector Case Study for their work with the United Nations. Crowdicity has revelled in the awards season this year, having also been named a “Rising Star” at the Northern Tech Awards this year.
The Software Innovation of the Year category rewards the talent, dedication and innovation behind the best digital businesses systems, with finalists invited to the awards ceremony at the prestigious Palace Hotel in Manchester on Thursday 9th October 2014.
With the DEA receiving over 100 entries to the category, Crowdicity, which is used by global organisations like Virgin Australia, LEGO, United Nations, John Lewis and Rio Government to power internal and external crowdsourcing initiatives, are up against four other finalists from the digital sector. Other categories include big names such as Celtic FC, Mothercare, Cancer Research and Lucozade.
Nick Wright, Co-Founder and CPO of Crowdicity, said: “2014 has been a fantastic year for Crowdicity already. Everyone in the Crowdicity team works tirelessly to make Crowdicity the most flexible and popular crowdsourcing platform on the market. We can’t help but get excited when we see some of the incredible– often game changing - results that our customers are driving from Crowdicity.
“To be shortlisted by one of the most prestigious awards in the industry is a huge honour and the team deserves all recognition for all their efforts in making Crowdicity such an integral business tool.”
Crowdicity has experienced rapid growth in recent years – which sees them now boast customers such as United Nations, John Lewis, LEGO, WWF, P&G, and the NHS. This latest achievement only reiterates the company’s on-going success and contribution to industry innovation.
